Daddy's Favor

An example of God's favor - Daddy is so good!:

since around october of last year, the saturn (rob's car) would randomly lose power steering.  it didn't happen all the time, just every now and again.  after looking stuff up on the internet, we found that it was a common occurance in saturns and that it would cost around $1,000 to fix it.  we decided to wait to fix it until it got really bad and happened all the time.  :)  the week before the fast started, i was going through files and shredding stuff we didn't need and came upon a paper that was sent from GM that was about a recall on power steering in saturns.  we were pretty excited because from how it read...we would pay the initial cost up front and then saturn would reimburse us.  so we scheduled an appointment with a GM dealer in town and this past monday we took it in to get fixed.  monday afternoon the mechanic calls and says that the power steering is fixed, but that he also found a recall for a wire in the headlights that was supposed to prevent fires.  a recall that we didn't even know about!  the really beautiful thing is that we didn't even have to pay the initial up front cost of $1,000 to fix the power steering!  GM took care of it all!  so in the end, Papa took care of our power steering problem AND our headlight problem all for FREE!  :)  YAY, GOD!

Another Year Better Than Ever!

Greetings! Another year has rolled around and we are into our fast! God is good and is doing amazing things! Here is just an example of what has been going on at HCF:

The most significant thing so far in the fast the Lord has been doing for me is getting me out of my comfort zone.  I've attended all the meetings at HCF as well as gone to the global awakening conference and each time there has been an impartation given to me I've really been touched by God.  My worship has significantly increased at home, I'm filled with the H.S. and dancing like I haven't done in years!  I've gotten bolder too, I've noticed since I'm not hesitating as much when I approach someone to pray for them (on the streets and people I know).  God's been giving me peace even though my circumstances are difficult, I've definitely received the Father's love, peace and joy last Monday night through Nic's worship and ministry.  God is really good!  Also, I need to share that I've seen a vision during the global awakening conference of Jesus putting a square ruby ring on my finger ( I felt betrothed!).  Then last Monday night I saw Jesus and I getting married during the wedding supper that Nic spoke about.  I heard the Father say, "this is my bride in whom I am well pleased!"  Hallelujah!  I questioned it a lot, why God, why are you well pleased with me and He just told me this morning, "because you are you."  So I also think I'm hearing from Him more also which is what I've been praying for a long time for!  God is awesome!

God is good! All the time!

A guest was encouraged to come up front and talk to me (Pastor Justin). He came forward and talked about the sermon and the freedom in worship. I notice that he was badly limping around. I asked him about his leg, and he said that he tripped rather badly downtown. It was so serious that he could not get up and an ambulance had to come to take him to the emergency room. The Dr.'s took an x-ray and he had a hair-line fracture. They bandaged it up.

I shared with him that God was good and His Word was true, and that I believed God could touch him and deliver him of all pain and soreness. He said I could pray for Him. I softly put my hand on his knee and prayed and agreed with various promises of the Scriptures, rebuking pain and speaking the healing virtue of Jesus. He walked around and said that the pain had lessened and he could bend his leg, where before it was too painful. I prayed again and he said he felt heat in his knee. He walked again on it and he said the pain was almost gone. I told him to continue to stand in what God did for him. He left with great joy.

Praise God

A Double Blessing

Last May (2011), Steve and I traveled to Texas for my niece's wedding. While we were there, my nephew Dave (the bride's brother) and his wife Christina told us how they have been unable to conceive although they had been trying for quite some time. In fact, my niece-in-law was on fertility medication. They are Christians and a very wonderful Jesus-loving couple who lead by example. God is proud of them. So they were open when Steve and I asked if we could pray for them, and we did. During our prayer, Steve felt he heard "within a year." In November, Dave called me to tell me the good news. They had just found out that they were expecting!! Praise God!! He called me even before he called my brother (his dad)!!! Within a week of that, the news came that they are actually having TWINS!! A double portion for all their trouble and disappointment. We serve an awesome God, don't we?!

Extension to "2012: Get ready!"

Hello again! I told you more testimonies were coming, right?! Actually, this is an extension of the testimony from the last post - David emailed Pastor Justin the following day - but it is totally worthy of its own post:

Yesterday (Tue), I drove from Pittsburgh back to Mystic, CT (9 hours) and my chest is even better today. My knees no longer pop, crack or hurt, no stiffness. I was having circulation issues in my feet and legs, they now feel brand new, the discolorations, and varicose veins are all disappearing. Normally if I sat at a 90 degree angle for very long my chest would stop me in my tracks, not now, my muscles are relaxed and lungs are breathing easily to full capacity.

Also my back was very screwed up. After driving all that time I would normally be hurting for days and unable to walk. I am loose and can touch my toes today. My wife is seeing a miracle, she knows how much I was hurting.

God is good all the time.

David

And with that, all I can do is reiterate David's praise: God is good all the time! Amen.

2012: Get ready!

Greetings Everyone!

I apologize for the lapse in blog updates... but, never fear! God is good, He is moving mightily amongst us and with that comes good news!! Hallelujah :D

LinkWhat better way to start off 2012 than by pursuing God? January has been "Coram Deo" (literally the "face of God" - a.k.a. focusing on the Lord, His Word, and spending more time in His Presence) at HCF and it has been incredible! We had both morning and evening meetings all throughout January with some weighty saints of the Kingdom (Jan. 1 - Al Thomas, Jan. 8 - Will Hart, Jan. 15 - our very own Justin Thomas, and Jan. 22 - Todd White).

Each meeting and speaker highlighted a different aspect of Kingdom perspective and each time Holy Spirit showed up in a powerful way! I know many people were significantly touched and ministered to at these meetings and I can't wait to post the rest of the testimonies. However, just to whet your appetite, here is a testimony from an out of town visitor that came to the evening meeting where Todd White spoke:

Hi Everyone.

I was there at Sunday night with Todd. I loved the teaching, I tried to commit it to memory permanently as he spoke and absorb like a sponge. I got prayer for my body from family there and Todd among others... Wow, I feel great, almost as if car accident never happened. I drove to Pittsburgh after the service to my parents and forgot to take ibuprofin before going to sleep. When I awoke in the morning, I felt loose with no pain and my chest was so good I wanted to do pushups. The love of God is overwhelming all I could was cry, I was so undone!

Thank You All,
David

Old Mystic, CT

Praise the Lord!! Well, that's all for now folks. Until next time, I pray that you are encouraged and overwhelmed by God's goodness and love!

Headaches and Arthritis Healed

A few weeks ago a few of us were out treasure hunting and spent some of the evening at  Target. One of the team members had "green shirt" and "headaches" as some of the clues on their list. We ended up next to a married couple with their small son, and noticed that the husband had a green shirt on. We approached them and it turned out that the husband did indeed suffer from headaches. He was very appreciative and let us pray for him. We also felt that the wife might need prayer and she told us that she suffered from some arthritis, which was actually a clue on another team member's list. The team prayed for her also, and we also released some encouraging and prophetic words over her. They were both very thankful and encouraged by our prayers and it was a definite blessing for us to be able to bless them :) Our team was really encouraged by that encounter, but at that point in time there was no way to tell if either the headaches or arthritis had been healed.

Well, this morning the HCF office got a phone call. It was this same woman we had prayed for! She was calling to testify and share that since our team had prayed for her and her husband, the arthritis in her hands and feet has greatly improved (so not 100% healing, doing very well) and her husband has not had any headaches (except for some when he was sick with a cold). They were both greatly encouraged and praising God for His healing power in their lives.

It's so cool to hear the testimony of the fruit of prayer for healing. God is still working behind the scenes, even when we may not see the evidence right then and there!

Praise Jesus!!
